Community

Our aim is to build awareness, interest and understanding about the role industry plays in the economy, community and society. 

We seek to be an engaged, trusted and connected member of our local community which we achieve through events, sponsorships, partnerships, sponsorships and outreach activities.

We work closely with our members, local community groups, community leaders and local, state and federal government representatives to build positive relationships, and promote the role of industry.

It is through consultation, research, industry tours, industry and community forums, and communication about our members and their businesses, that KIC is able to develop a shared understanding with the community.

The KIC is committed to positive and socially responsible action to help the community through:

• sponsorship;
• partnerships and memberships;
• policy development and advocacy; and
• data collection and research to build a better understanding of the interaction of industry activities and the local community.

KIC Community Grants Program

The KIC Community Grants program supports not-for-profit community organisations that work to enhance local communities across the Rockingham and Kwinana region. 

The aim is to assist groups needing financial support to deliver impactful programs and initiatives. Community organisations are invited to apply for one-off grants of up to $5,000.

Community Engagement

Does your organisation support your local community by contributing to engagement, connections and belonging? The grants aim to support not-for-profit community organisations and groups which deliver projects and initiatives to support the health, wellbeing, and culture of the local community across the Kwinana and Rockingham areas, or surrounding suburbs.

Education & Training

Are you a not-for-profit organisation working in the Kwinana or Rockingham area, that encourages participation, addresses areas of educational disadvantage or fosters creative, inquiry-based learning and inspires young minds through education?

Environmental

Are you a not-for-profit organisation in the Kwinana or Rockingham area, that is working to make the environment more sustainable? We support environmental groups, water-wise initiatives, native wildlife conservation projects, and any community project that contributes to improving the local environment.

Equity & Diversity

Does your organisation demonstrate a commitment to creating an inclusive environment, proactive initiatives to address underrepresented groups, and have innovative strategies to promote equity?
